Ozzie Guillen hasn’t managed an MLB team in seven years. That loud, almost incoherent ranting of his hasn’t been heard on the bench for a while. He last stepped out of the Marlins dugout in 2012. The Caracas native was supposed to lead Miami to a new era with a brand new ballpark and logo. But things got out of hand quickly after the former manager expressed his opinions regarding Cuban dictator Fidel Castro.
Guillen, now 56 has shown his frustration for not getting a job. “Why not me?” he asked MLB.com’s Scott Merkin when asked about his opinion on why he doesn’t have a job. The former Marlins’ skipper feels “banned from the game” and actually wants somebody to tell him why.
The former shortstop is an almost nonexistent being in today’s game, but it wasn’t always like that. For 14 years he wore a full uniform like he used to do and was on top of the world.
